Can anybody tell me what info you can get from the ODB bus?

Can you get current rpm, speed? oil temps? gear?

It supports whatever info your dianostic port can support. It all depends on the vehicle manufacturer. My tacoma doesn't support fuel tank level. But I've seen other OBD-II scanners that show fuel tank level.

the features are dependant on the car supporting them. ODB-II can support many things, not all cars will support all of them.

Do a search for ODB-II, you'll find lots of threads dealing with how to interface with it.

Check out www.obd-2.com and www.obdII.com. Both have some useful info.

All vehicles supporting OBD-II have a basic set of parameters that they support, however it's the enhanced parameters that differ from vehicle to vehicle. I think the obdII.com site has a list of the basic parameters for PWM, ISO, and VPW OBD-II interfaces. Might wanna check em out.
