Is Proscan still alive?

Please excuse me if I'm posting this incorrectly, or in the wrong place. But is David Gore still alive, and is ProScan trying to do business? I cannot get any sort of response after 11 days and numerous emails? Like others, I lost my serial number and cannot get the software to run on my new laptop. Maybe there is better software for the hardware I've already bought? My needs are borderline trivial, so the proscan sw is OK. But If I have to shell out some cash I'd just as soon buy something better.... I mean, why pay twice for the same thing?

many thanks,

Dale.

Seing as the Proscan account hasn't accessed the board since 06-11-2007 I doubt we can tell you anymore about him.

As for other software, just have a search on the board and see what suits.

Figured as such. This may be a dumb question, but is the OBD hardware I got with that kit pretty much a standard item that'll work with just about any software? I know, RTM, but a little shove in the right direction would be appreciated...don't know how to ask what I don't know....and all that jazz...

chunkyks is on a distinguished road
Reading their website, it seems that proscan is mostly just a bundled elmscan, which is elm-compatible [duh]. The dongle will probably work with most modern software.
