Standalone odometer wanted

Plenty of options for displaying live data, but not permanent mileage. Anybody come across a standalone odometer that is not part of a speedometer? My '95 OBD1 GM PCM doesn't store the mileage.

Odometer is not a legislated PID and is manufacturer specific. You would have to do a lot of data sifting or begging to be able to read it.

I'm looking for a standalone gauge that would be connected to the VSS to supplement my PC dash project. Something like the LED built into my '04 Wrangler's cluster.

Have you looked at ScanGauge?

I'm OBD1. I don't think my PCM contains mileage data. At least it hasn't shown up on any of the scanners I've tried.

As Aberk has pointed out, it's not part of the standard OBDII either. You can integrate data from the VSS over time and get a fairly accurate result.

Found one

This is the closest I've found so far to what I'm looking for. Don't know how big it is yet or if it has a trip function.

I gave up on pulling the data from the OBD port and going the Fusion Brain route. I can do much more with it for gauges: Oil/Fuel pressure, turn signals, fuel level, low coolant...and design my own graphics. It won't store data though.

Actually, this is exactly what I was looking for. Now I can go back to my dash design.
