Question Is dangerous leave OBD scanner connected ever to the car?

Soon i have to mount a OBD scanner like this:



other owners have noticed that the object with the PC turned off and without USB powered, the device remain with a LED on;

my questions:
Is dangerous for ecu leave scanner always connected?

Who of you has always connected the scanner and how long?
