tell me about it ! I got a quote from a company for a 1 off PCB - it was so expensive to set everything up for just one they wanted £80 for it !!!
So i ended up doing it myself, i don't have a UV unit so did the old laser toner/clothes iron trick and then going over with etch resist pen for a reasonably neat PCB

You meant this stuff :

http://www.maplin.co.uk/products/mod...464&Products=1

Havent really tried it but I heard it doesnt work too well when theres many fine tracks on the artwork.

UV light is probably one of the most useful stuff when playing with PCB. Yes is always expensive for a 1 off PCB. The cost should only be a few pounds if you were to order 1,000s.
