Each hardware device has it's own API.
The only thing that is "generic - OBD2" is the protocol to connect to the vehicle (between hardware box and vehicle). Not between hardware box and PC.

Thanks for the info.

So how are people getting the API's to interface with their particular device?

The only API's I've seen published are these:
http://www.obddiagnostics.com/obdinfo/info.html
http://www.ghg.net/dharrison/OBDScanAPI.PDF

They seem to be exactly the same, but never mention that they are compatible.

Anyone know of any other hardware with the API available?

hey... just cruising to see what customer's are talking about. Chry stuff is next on the J2534 list. If you're going to Vegas, I'm sure Steve will have it on display.

PS The national is this weekend.... I finally get a break from this 6 months of J2534 development hell. (kidding)
