1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee (UK)

Does anyone know if there is an ODB connector in here anywhere, I would assume that being compulsory in the US from '96 that my '98 American car would have it but I can't find it anywhere. Don't tell me they decided to save 5p per vehicle by leaving it out of the export models!

it has to be within 3 feet of the drivers seat and require no tools to get access.

I did notice that in the spec, unfortunately if you actually think about it that takes you halfway into the bonnet at the front, all the way accross the passenger side, and part way into the boot at the back, so it doesn't narrow it down as much as you first assume!

Don't I feel like an idiot now, I could have sworn I had looked there, that was the first place I looked, and it wasn't even hidden! Thanks.

Interface

OK, having located the connector...

Can any one recommend an appropriate interface to use with the Jeep? I have seen (but not had a chance to read yet) a couple of pages with instructions for making your own, is this practical or am I better just buying one?
