ECU Remapping

I just got the ecu flasher and a software to remap the ecu on my Hyundai Accent crdi 2006 model. I just wanna ask do i need to buy new remappable ecu or original ecu can be remapped. I know thats a silly ques but i new to this field.

If you can ask this question then you REALLY shouldn't be playing with ecu flashers or anything of this nature. Search/Real/Learn!!!!

You should first ask the guys that sold the equipment to you if can be done with a stock ecu. But most likely from my experience of dealing with mitsubishi every ecu can now be reflashed. Just be very carefull with what you're doing. What engine mods do you have that makes you want to remap it?

Sounds like this guy will at best end up with a dead ecu and non starting car or at worst blow up his engine.

I don't know about that guy but i just got the openecu ecuflash cable from mynes and allthough it doesn't work with my current ecu it will soon. I think the have some stuff for the mini cooper as well. http://www.mynesperformance.com/shop...products_id=66
