Which protocol is this?

Excuse the blur.

Can you please determine the protocol used in my car. I read somewhere that pin 4&5 are must. But I don't have pin5. Also there are total 7 pins. Car is Hyundai.

This would have been so much easier if you posted the Year and Model of your Hyundai, and whether it was sold in the U.S. or elsewhere.

It seams you have ISO 9141 on your vehicle for OBDII

Starting from PIN 1 from Left to Right, Top to Bottom. The top left most pin is Pin 1 and the pin directly below it is PIN 9.

1 Discretionary* (GMLAN SW CAN Line) SW CAN
2 + line of SAE J1850 J1850 VPW or J1850 PWM
3 Discretionary* (GMLAN MS CAN H) MS CAN
4 Chassis Ground.
5 Signal Ground PWR GND 13
6 Discretionary* (GMLAN HS CAN H) HS CAN
7 K Line of ISO 9141-2 ISO K
8 Discretionary*
9 Discretionary* (GM ALDL)
10 - line of SAE J1850 J1850 PWM L
11 Discretionary* (GMLAN MS CAN L) MS CAN
12 Discretionary*
13 Discretionary*
14 Discretionary* (GMLAN HS CAN L) HS CAN
15 L line of ISO 9141-2 ISO
