I understand one of the fundamental issues of getting your cell phone to work with Freefone (or any other phone control software out there) is the networking technology of CDMA vs GSM. I know Verizon and Sprint use CDMA and At&t and T-Mobile use GSM. I also understand that GSM is the global standard while CDMA is mostly a US standard. Finally, I know that GSM phones are more successful in general than CDMA phones in working with your front end software for remote phone commands, such as Freefone.

I am consideirng switching to Verizon (I currently have Sprint) as their network coverage is the best in the US. Does anyone have any luck in getting complete phone control with any Blackberry phones provided by Verizon? That includes making phone calls with the dial pad on the computer screen, seeing phone calls coming in AND being able to answer them, getting phone book information, etc.

Also, if successful, do you use Bluetooth or USB tethering. And if bluetooth, what profile?

This issue is mainly related to streetdeck. BUT since it is being done in realtek, I posted it out here in this board.

Right now it seems that every other time I hibernate (tinyXP) it comes back up and StreetDek has NO sound. Well, it still makes the clicking noise of the GUI for when you hit buttons, but no music. Going out of StreetDeck, I can load up Realtek, and hit the 3D audio demo, and it plays just fine. Go back to StreetDeck and it wont play music.

So I left and went to Centrafuse, and I have music. I left that, and went to Ride Runner, and I have music. Open Winamp and Itunes, and I have music, all 5 channels. I open StreetDeck, and once again, NO SOUND.

So i go back to Realtek I/O screen, and I noticed that the front and rear speaker ports are both assigned to rear audio. I unplugged the front, and replugged it, and it pops up and asks me what speaker i just plugged in, and I select FRONT. I hit 3d audio demo, and it plays fine. I go back into StreetDeck and play music, and now it plays... only problem, is it only plays out of the front speakers and sub. You can still hear clicking in the back speakers.

Any one have any advise or suggestions on what to check for?

Hello all,

I have tried to install a power inverter today and am facing a frustrating issue.

The inverter has a built in over voltage shutdown which is supposed to be at 15.5v +/-.75v, but the problem here is that its shutting down at 14.8v

My truck, a 2008 silverado is supercharged, and runs a little high (14.8 is its highest), but once it warms up is about 14.3 or so, which is fine but for the 10 minutes before that i cant deal with the inverter shutting down due to the "over voltage"

Ive been searching high and low for a solution over the past 4 hours and have gotten frustrated so i stopped.... for now.

Anyone have any ideas on how to regulate the voltage down a little bit? All my other electronics run fine on the system, but this inverter is going to be the death of me!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea on what's causing this???? I've reflashed the BIOS and tried (not sure if successful) to reset the M4-ATX to factory default - even though I haven't ever communicated with it/changed it in ANY way.

I've unplugged my SSD and SATA DVD drive but I still have the issue. This is driving me absolutely insane. After the bootup it works perfectly fine. ?!!?!?

PLEASE I will have eternal gratitude to anyone that can help with this thing!!!
My carpc uses a laptop powersupply but to save having to press the pc on and monitor on i was hoping to press just the one.. but the screen one as it looks like its meant to be there..

I remember back in the days using an old lilli someone built a circuit to make it turn on when the ignition was on.. Maybe the same person may be who i need to talk to.
Cheers in advance
and sorry if this has been done.. search facility sucks when ou dont really know what to search other than lilli hack, power button etc.

I want to install a series of switches in my project. The first switch (SPST) would be up front near the steering wheel, would control the main signal. The second switch (SPST) would be hidden away (most likely in the glove box), would be like the first, except it would be the real valet switch; meaning valets, service techs and the like would be unable to operate my carputer (since my glovebox would be locked :D). This switch would normally remain closed.

The third switch (SPDT) would be in the back, directing the remote signal to either the carputer (in turn, connected to the amp and HD radio tuner) or the amp (with the HD Radio connected).
The reason why this switch exists is for the times when I'm servicing my carputer, or it doesn't work, or whatever. Since I'm going headunit-less, and in case my carputer becomes inoperable, I can fall back on HD radio (connect radio to amp and plug in LCD controller).

The question is: are there any problems or concerns I should be aware of before I go through with this? Below is a quick diagram of what I said earlier.
