All jokes aside, I am picking back up where I left off almost two years ago when I released Shock V6. I need to learn a lot of the new features and skin commands, since the older skins are lacking a lot of the nice features in the new RR codebase.

For those who have not used any of the shock skin series the philosophy behind the skin is a fast, lightweight, attractive and easy to use interface, designed with the driver in mind. Buttons and labels stay as static as possible, to increase driver attention on the road and not on the screen. Anyway this full version upgrade will be a complete new code base and source artwork. Format is going to be changed from 800x480 to 800x600 for better compatibility with iGO and Garmin GPS. As always, I design my skins to fit my specific needs but I keep it all open source; including the artwork as to not limit the use and development. (look what happened to my original carwings art+code source ;) )

I do not have a finite release date for Shock V7 but here is a teaser screener of the new GDI+ artwork.

Hello Guys,
I need your help to understand some things ...

channel list in the first screen, is no longer defined as all other .. This happens only in FM radio, the lists are equal in all file.skin.

-

As you can see the definition of the characters in the list in FM radio is the only defined in relation to all other label.. why ? :-(

The following is the code:

RADIO FM
S,158,98,335,415,255,255,255,0,0,0,255,255,255,0,0 ,0,244,181,8,,20,"GE Drover"

AUDIO PLAYER and other list :
S,150,86,343,430,255,255,255,255,0,0,255,0,0,255,0 ,0,255,0,0,,18,"GE Drover"

The only difference is the size, the first is set to 20 and the second 18, but I also tried to change the values but I see them hurt. grrrrrrrrrrrrr...

------------------------
Another question, how do I eliminate this horrible pink pig? :-)

code:
S01,506,103,167,398,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,25 5,255,255,255,255,255,255,255,241,181,8,TRUE,14,"G E Drover"
SD,00,03,30,30,"$picspath$","*.jpg;*.bmp;*.gif;*.p ng",FALSE

code:
IL,CL,transparent.bmp,sel.bmp,end.bmp,0,50,60
SC,150,85,339,430,255,255,255,0,0,0,0,0,0,255,0,0, ,18,"GE Drover"

thanks...

Alrighty, well I've been working on this for quite some time, and just recently I've had some time to sit down and really get to work on the look and function of it all.
I'm using this in my Hyundai Elantra with a 12" screen in portrait mode.

Currently hooked up and working:
OBD*, GPS, Audio, Phone*
*still working out bugs

Not all screens are complete, but I've got the major ones at least functioning.
Here's a screen shot I took from my work computer, so no data is being pulled from the OBD

Plugins that are being used:
OBDMPG
Mobilephone.net
soon RRVM

I've been designing this for my use, so I'm sure there are better ways of doing things and making them easier for the future, but it seems to be working for me so far.
Once I get the look of this one about right, I'll be duplicating it and changing colours so it matches my blue gauges at night.

Input welcomed.

Update:

BETA RELEASE!!

Here's a link to download it and give it a try.... for all (1) of you tall screen users :)
http://ssarge.net/cmdRR.zip
*Note - some flash gauges are not included as they are apart of DFX4.0. I will not include them unless I know it's okay to.
- to fully use you will need to copy the following from DFX to the flash folder: DFX_Compass, DFX_CPUZZ, DFX_SatStrengthzz, DFX_SpeedXX
*OBDMPG gauges are included as you need to get the plugin to have that section work anyways. - downloadable here: http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/rr-r...ml#post1338236

When I update some more I'll update that file and post an update to my changes.

To fix:
audio player
audio browser
mixer

To tweak more:
gps (reg and full)
mobilephone
mobilecall

To create my own:
dimmer

To create:
video player
app launcher
calculator
others...TBD
