Neat remote! I have a remote engine start, which would start the car thus turning on the carputer, but letting gas fumes built up in the garage isn't the smartest idea lol.
Usually I don't have to do anything, just let files add themselves automatically in the background, although there is an occassion every once in and again, where I want to move a lot of data. In this case, I just go to the car, stick the key in and leave it in the On position, turn off the stereo (my amp eats my battery), and go back inside. My carputer will run nearly 2 hours before the battery dies *guesstimate*. I've never had my battery die to be honost, as the Opus150 should shut down the computer once it realized the battery voltage drop below a certain level, leaving enough juice to start. =) I do the same thing Ric does, just watch the ezsync server's green light...once it's red, I know it's done and then I"ll go and retrieve my keys and shutdown the carputer.
Of course, this requires you to have a garage that you USE and keep closed. I don't advise leaving your keys in your car if it's outside lol.
