Release - EZSync 1.93
EZSync version 1.93 has now been released. Along with this release comes a new web site. You will need to register a user id to get to the downloads.
You can find the web site here:
http://richmet.homeip.net/ezsync
Version 1.93 has the following key features:
- Sync with removable media
- -now command line option (performs an immediate sync)
- Shutdown after sync option
Bug Fixes: - First character cutoff problem
- Filename mixup problem
- Various other smaller issues addressed
Please refer to the user guide on the web site for full details on how to configure everything. For anyone upgrading from version 1.92, please make sure you read the note in the version history regarding ezsync.exe.
Downloads will be a little slower than in the past due to the location of the files. Please be patient but let me know if it becomes intolerable.
Ric.

Hi there, I'd love to check your program out, but I'm having a hard time registering on your website (at this link --> http://richmet.homeip.net/ezsync/addauser.php).
Please let me know if there's another way to download/use the program or to register for it elsewhere.
Thanks.

What is the problem - Is there an error message or something?

No, actually, I just see a blank white page (I tried in both Firefox 1.0.7 & IE 6.0.2900).
The rest of the website works fine though...

That probably means it is erroring on the server side for some reason. I used the same version of IE as you, but FireFox 1.06 to test it with. I'll create you an id and PM it to you, then you can try logging on with it.

I downloaded 1.93 on two different computers, and I get the exact same error upon launching the exe installer file:
"Error reading Setup initialization File"
I think the installer file is bonkered!
EDIT: Looks like the resume had aborted midway. In both computers. Strange. Downloading again.

I have the same problem. I tried in both IE and firefox. it downloads up to about 730kb and then says the download is finished, although the progress meter does indicate the total size is 9.5 megs before it stops... and of course the file doesn't work when it finishes.
I tried downloading the upgrade instead of the full install, and that stopped at 645k.
I'm all anxious now, I've been waiting for you to put together a release with the removable media sync thing I asked for quite a while back... Can't wait to see how it works

Ric:
First of all, I am reading the release notes, and I am loving what I see!
Secondly, the website is unbearably slow. It is stopping after 500K or so. Not sure what is going on, but I have been trying to download this for the past 30 mins without success Aghhh!!

Ric: I see no mention on the Release Notes, about the 'deletion of folders' bug. Does EZSync 19.3 now delete folders on the target machine when they are deleted from the source?

For those of you having problems and too desperate to wait, I have just successfully downloaded the software by using Free Download Manager ( www.freedownloadmanager.org).
No affiliation with the author but it's a great application anyway, and everyone should have it.
Ric.

.... add me to the list that can not get the register page to load in IE or FireFox.
Also - if you set the server to use wireless - does this mean you can't do removable media as well?
Can't wait to try it out
