Looking for beta testers
I have a release forthcoming but before I make it widely available I'd like to have some beta testing done with a small group of people. Please post up if you'd like to volunteer and let me know what you will be able to test.
1.94 will contain the following:
- Removable media sync.
- sync types available are removable, cumulative, mirror, upload only.
- "ezsync -now" option for command line syncing on the client side.
- hibernate / shutdown / do nothing after sync
- optionally execute a program or batch file before sync
- optionally execute a program or batch file after sync
- Various bugs fixed.
Thanks in advance,
Ric.

I'm still using 1.92 daily. I guess that qualifies me, let's hope this is better than the 1.3. I used cum, mirror and upload only. I have removable I can test. Love the idea of a "-now" option. Can test the hibernate/shotdown option also.

ric355,
Nice job with the new website. I don't see v 1.94 posted there... is it meant to be available for everyone to test?

No, I'm only offering it to a small number of people at the moment to try and iron out any major issues before it goes to a wider audience. If you want to help out then you're welcome to. Once you and the others who offered prior to you are all using the software I think I will probably have enough for a short while.
Let me know if you want to be involved and I'll give you details.
To the others I haven't contacted yet - I'll be in touch later today with details.
Ric.

Ric,
Thanks for the offer. I thought it was open to all based on your post above. I will pass for now, since I had to remove carputer temporarily from my car...
Thanks!

Thanks all for the offers of beta testing. I've now sent all of you a PM with details and I think I have enough people initially. I recommend you do some offline testing to be sure you're happy with the software before using it in anger.
If there is anyone who has posted an offer to beta test that I have not contacted please drop me a PM.
I will make the software available to more people at a later date, depending upon how initial tests go.
Thanks,
Ric.
