Question about removable drive sync

I update my skins in rr constantly on my work pc then save them to my removable drive to get them in the car. I have been using allway sync to do this and it does it FLAWLESSLY. i put the drive in, it copies the files over. I dont even have to look at the program to know its doin what it needs to. Problem is for whatever reason this software does NOT work when i'm using RR as the shell. It doesnt detect the removable drive. Can ezsync 1.94 do this? This is a post from ric in another thread

"1. Client now automatically recognises an inserted USB Mass Storage device or other volume (eg CD). If a (name configurable) directory exists on the volume, then a sync is carried out. I've used a simple directory structure to allow files/directories to be directed at different drive letters."

Sounds like exactly what i need it to do, but have no idea how to set the correct sync directories in the client. Plus i wanna confirm it will work outside of windows shell. Man it would be nice to have one program handle both my removeable and wireless syncs!

Have you read the appropriate section in the user manual on the web site?

yes and i just did again... still confused. Lets use my example from above wanting to update skins. On my removable drive i make a folder called "sync".

-Inside that folder i make a folder called c
-Inside that folder i make a folder called program files
-Inside that folder i make a folder called road runner
-Inside that folder i make a folder called skins
-Inside that folder i make a folder called MC2.5 (my skin)

All of the contents in this folder on the removable drive will be copied over to the same folder on the C drive? I assume nothing ezsync doesnt delete ANY files off the target drive just overwrites files based on the modify date. And what if i have multiple folders on the same drive that i want to keep in sync? For instance if i wanted to update the rr.exe on the same C drive. Would i just add the .exe inside the rr folder i already made on the removable drive?

Glad you got it working. Note that if you run the server also you don't have to copy files and create the directory structure manually. Configure one or more directories as a removable sync and when it notices you've installed a removable drive it'll copy the files to it automatically. Then just insert it in your target box running the client and it will copy as you've already experienced.
