1.92 and 1.94 Client Hanging

Hello,

This is an issue I am having recently, can't seem to be able to resolve. Maybe you can help. Ever since one specific day about a month ago, I could never sync my carputer.

All it does on the carputer (client) side ping, finds server, begins transaction and simply hangs. (Not Responding). End task is the only way to terminate it. This happens time after time again. Meanwhile, the Server seems to be running with no issue.

First I tried upgrading both server and client to 1.94, but that didn't do anything. Then tried to remove some files which I thought where causing this. You know, international characters. But that had no effect unless I missed some.

Is there any way through a debug mode or something to find out exactly where this is hanging at? Would like to get to the root of the problem.

What does it say in the log on the server window, and what does it say in the log on the client window?

Client:
Ping Count 10. Server Detected. Server Log Refreshes. Then no new information on log. Just hangs.

Server:
Application Started
Client specified protocol version 3
connectin received
user logged on. sending file list.
client disconnected.

No matter how long I wait after this period of time, the client never starts responding. And like I said, this is something recent, about 1 month ago. use to work perfectly fine.

It all looks ok, so I guess it must be some sort of software fault. I'm unable to do anything else to help you from here unfortunately. Did you do anything in particular when it suddenly stopped working? Had you for example added some directories?

at the time it stopped i just added some new mp3s. but after removing those the problem still exists. ionno. think it is an intl char. ill let u know once resolved .

Not sure why there would be a problem with an international character, but I do know someone has mentioned this before. The software doesn't process the filenames at the character level so it shouldn't really matter.

Anyway, if you trace the cause let me know.

Well, after numerous testing. including wiping out EzSync and trying to sync an empty folder, I have came to the conclusion its gotta be something with the operating system most likely. Just doesn't seem possible anymore that its a direct EzSync issue. Thanks for the help tho.
