5th Gen Camry - Double DIN (wider) for Single DIN H/U + also mounting options for 7"

Ok, I have just purchased a new car a week ago, a 2002 Camry Sportivo (Aussie model with body kit, sports suspension, + other extras)

Anyway, so I want to first start with installing my pioneer headunit into the car... Now the standard headunit is a Double DIN height but wider than standard DIN size... so i guess i need some sort of mounting Kit to mount a Single DIN Headunit into it (+ a pocket to fill the gap)? Can you get mounting kits on ebay or anything?

Also at a later stage when i get a bit more cash again, i want to buy a new 7" touchscreen (i have a DWW-700M 7" in-dash motorised screen but the lcd panel has died in it, which i have found out now is a common problem :S :S) which i'd like to mount in the double Din slot, and then move the headunit down to in front of gear stick (would need to do some custom work to mount it there but it looks like a good spot for it )

Install kit for double DIN toyotas

There is a install kit that will take care of the extra space problem on your "yota" quite well. It replaces the extra din space with a storage tray. It bolts right onto the same ISO bracket that the factory radio is removed from, where the new head unit will sit right on top of it. It makes for a very neat and professional looking install. I bought mine from beachaudio.com. They sell the kit very cheap. i think less than 20 bucks.

Good luck,
Kevin
