You may want to check out this Fabrication link -- Nexson is a hired gun who specializes in Hondas. I know nothing about pricing, but his work looks good, and he has some interesting solutions.

Tire story: I was on I-75 in Atlanta, towing a loaded trailer at 85mph -- with my xB -- when I began to hear a funny whine. I pulled over and found the left trailer tire had shredded; I have no idea how long I'd been running that way, but she was rolling on the rim. I never felt any vibration or swaying. I guess the trailer had pretty good load balance; otherwise it could have been much more exciting. I tow a little lower on the speedometer these days.

@ rdholtz: Thanks for the link.

@ Nexson: Impressive work. I was planning to sub-contract the fabrication, but I totally blew my budget on my custom LCD endeavor. The bottom extension shouldn't be too bad. You need all the panel pieces to size this correctly and I don't want to ship everything. I should be able to extend the bottom with SEM or alternative, sand+sand+sand, and prime. I might pay for the black surface coats as this is something I could totally frell up. When I reach this point, I will be seeking quotes.

Nexson -- still wrestling with polyethylene welding. I just added some comments to my worklog to show where I am. I'm learning a lot, but not going forward very fast. I want it to look as good as your work and turbocad6's work, so I'm taking the time to do it right. It's an adventure . . .

And realize that right off the bat, you aren't going to be the best, because to be honest, I sucked in the beginning, but take your time and dont give up!

I am going to check the thread now
