Best way to hold the screen in place?

Okay my stock double din radio had a removable faceplate which I cut up and integrated the monitor into it. There isn't enough room to put the back of the monitor back on it to keep it all together. So I'm wondering how I should go about keeping the screen in place along with the guts of the monitor? I was thinking hi-temp hot glue but in Florida it gets to be 100+ and I'm worried about it melting. What is another option that is safe to use on circuit boards but will hold it in place?

Maybe the whole back wont fit, but with some strategic cutting, you should be able to get some screw holes to stay in place and enough of them to secure it in pretty well. Then to finalize it, use some hot glue or something. Screws come out easily, and hold it mostly. But if you ever need to get in there, you just need to scrape the hot glue away from the non-screwed areas.

Well in order to mount the screen in I had to break off the housing screws so screwing the back in is no longer an option. I guess I could go with hot glue and just see where it gets me.

hot glue alone will not hold a screen.

If you busted it somehow, you can buy another casing. There is no substitute really.

are the little cylinders the screws go into broken, or just the backplate with the holes?

Maybe get some nuts from the hardware store, epoxy them in place, and then use a few bolts through some mounting piece making your own screw holes.

The back piece of the screen though adds a good inch an a half and I have less then half an inch clearance. It's not possible to put the back on no matter how I wing it. I will get you a pic so you can see what I'm talking about

That's a good idea but I already have the frame and everything molded into the faceplate. I will take a trip up to homedepot and see what I can come up with. You have a good idea though.

Never mind the fit between the faceplate and the screen was a perfect fit. When I popped the faceplate on it holds the screen in place perfectly. Almost as if the screen was made for the faceplate.
