I'm not aware if there would be a work-around for the wi-fi adapter, but I can tell you the TPMS sensors and WCM work at a frequency of 315MHz on the Dakota.

going to be detailing out the dakota tomorrow, doing the mobil1 oil change and working on the electronics some more. Hopefully I can find my camera and get some pics of the install. (just moved to a new house, still unpacking)

Nice

Glad to know you can get the CanBus to do something. Any update on the steering wheel buttons doing anything. I drive an 06 Charger. I haven't plunged on this yet for that fact

I've been somewhat stalled on the project as it is working great and I am tackling a remodel job on the house I bought. I did manage to attach the new dedicated 8 gauge to the PC complete with two switches, one for the amp and one for the PC power disconnect. I am charging up my camera now so the pix will not be much longer!

As for the steering wheel buttons, my next purchase from the mp3car store is going to be a fusion brain to interface with the wheel controls.

Wow Blk, I see you've done a major revamp since the last time I posted in your thread. Looking good homeboy. Quite impressed with your electronic skills too. May have to pm you about that factory interface that you used. Keep up the good work.....Now go finish that remodel job.

Thx Ramanator, in addition to the fusion brain I am also adding HDTV and a reverse camera. I am going to use AV1 and AV2 on the lilliput for these sources. Just need to figure out how to pipe the TV sound into the system. I have the antenna already setup for the TV. Also I am going to get some pics of how I installed the WiFi and extra USB ports.

blk, is your screen flush up to your bezel? I know you've posted in my thread before but I can't tell from your pics if it's flush.. If you see mine blow you'll see there is a tiny gap after shaving some of the bezel out:

Thanks

That's how mine looks from the side, my dash part is a little bit different, it matches up to the bybyte kit a little better. Anyways I think yours looks good for doing 0% custom work!

You mean your double din dash kit part looks better? Which one did you get? I wonder if your bezel is less rounded.. I got this one..

If you can when you have some free time.. Can you take some more pictures of yours from all angles? Thanks a lot!

Pics of the wifi adaptor, its in the upper corner of the windshield, passenger side, and pics of the mobile HDTV tuner I picked up. I was going to go with a PC based tuner but I got this one for free from a friend who traded me for a home style HDTV tuner. I'm going to run it to on of the AV inputs on the lilliput and mount the antenna on the windshield above the mirror.

I'll get some pics of the mounting kit tbird, but it is *very* similiar to yours from looking atyour pics.

I had a HDTV tuner for my car, infact I had 2 of them but I was never able to get them to work reliably. It was easier to just buy a 3G data card and use slingplayer to stream dishnetwork to my car. Hope it works out for you though.

Also have you thought about putting the network card behind the a-pillar or the headliner so its not so obvious?

PS: Looking good so far, your install looks so OEM. Wish mine would come together, lol, I have so much drama involved in my install.

Looking at some possible new motherboards to install, the intel works great, but there is an incompatibility the exists between my atom board and the X-Fi sound card causing a 15-20 secong hang before the bios splash and regular boot. It's not that big of a deal but it will give me a reason to buy some new ITX technology. I am looking at the atom Zotac and Asus ITX boards.

My other option would be to use a DTDP relay so that my console switch would shut off the amp and disconnect the +5v line on the usb connection of the X-Fi sound card. Since I don't turn on my factory amp until I am booted up, I figure this would work good. Not sure if it would confuse windows XP though. . .
