New to the whole carputer seen but I have a question as far as liquid nail on circuits go. I have a Xenarc 7" screen and I can't use the original back plate to keep it in my car. There are two pieces of circuitry on it, one for the screen and one for the buttons. The one for the buttons is not held by anything so I'm trying to think of a way to keep the two together.

I was thinking of possibly applying a few drops of liquid nail on just a few spots to keep the two pieces together or maybe double sided tape. I'm not sure though if doing this will mess up the circuitry or not for the screen. If I could get some guidance on how to fix this problem I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Double sided tape (or velcro) would be better IMO because it's not so permanent and not so close. Make sure nothing metal on the LCD touches anything on the PCB.

The glue would work though. It's non-conductive once it's fully dried so don't power it up while the glue is still hardening.

Thanks for the info. I really appreciate it. I just bought some small brackets which I might use as well and put some foam on the side that will be touching the circuits so that if the car hits a bump the circuits will be protected by some foam and absorb the impact.

At least now I feel better about using the glue. I thought it would be fine but needed other people's opinion on the subject.

Or you can use a hot glue gun over circuits. It has 0 affect.

Thanks for the reply. I did not know that but that does make sense. I will try several, if not all these methods to get this done. Thanks again and if there are any other alternatives I should know about please let me know everyone.
