Dash Fabrication for Chevy Truck!
I need someone who can make me a custom dash just like the one in this picture to fit my LCD screen into my 97 Chevy pickup if possible. Let me know how much it would be too.

I got this picture from a guy on this forum who did this himself. I checked his posts and he has not been here in over a month. His post is here:

I'm located in Bakersfield, CA. Is anyone capable of doing this anywhere near me? I can always buy another dash like this and ship it to you to make as well.

I have never done any kind of body work, bondo or fiberglass. I'm too scared I will mess something up bad.

To live in fear is to not live at all.
To learn from mistakes is called experience.
To not be afraid of making mistakes is called courage
To screw up and never learn anything is called Al Gore

Try some local car audio shops. Sometimes guys work there that do fiberglass and body work. You may have to get out of Bakersfeild though

That really isn't much work - you should take your dash apart and look at the component involved. I have a 2003 tahoe and i wanted to buy the answer - but had so much fun doing bondo, sanding and looking at "MY WORK" after I was done... Remember that you can always take it to a custom shop and they can charge you $700 or so to do it!

Alright, scratch this idea. For some reason doing my measurements, it wont fit where I want it to. and I'm not moving my radio to the glove box. I'm gonna stick to my original plan and put it on the floor between the front 2 seats and build the entire thing out of wood w/ a flip up LCD. *sigh* I liked the dash idea though.

You don't have to move your head unit to the glove box. I would rid of it completely and go Computer>Amp>Speakers. It will not only look better but most likely sound better.
