Thanks guys..
I'd say im about 90% done. Well i am now in the process of wiring the 5.1 audio with 2 or 3 4PDT relays... hope the sound will come out cleaner since its out of a usb.

Cool that looks good!!!

I own a 04 TL and want to do the same thing. If you could tell me where you bought:

1)connectors to extend the wire from the stock lcd
2) smoked plexiglass and that carbon vinyl

how did you make the smoked plexiglass attach to the storage bin in front o the lcd? any help will be appreciated.

Awesome install. Looks stock! Where are you mounting the docking station?

This is a little off topic, but, for those of you that have the '04 TL, have you noticed a vibration around 40MPH? I was going to buy one and test drove two different '04's from two separate dealers and both had a vibration. Just curious...

TIRES

yep...unfortunately the car comes from the manufacturer with crappy tires...many people are getting the dealer to swap tires before driving them off the lot...I have the Potenzas which are the High Performance Tire option ($200) on this car...the EL-42s are even worse. Anyways, the vibration is a result of flatspotting- it will go away after a couple of miles of driving when the tires warm up.

My next tires will definitely be something other than this model. I had W-rated tires (extremely high-perf) on my last set of 18" wheels and they never had issues with flatspotting.

But....back on-topic....noahdib finished the install and it looks absolutely badass. I just don't want to give up my lower storage areas

those comparments were no good for me =) Eventually if we ever get a program to read all that bus data and output to screen I will add another 7" down there or add the compartment back =)
Good thing that is all plastic and I can buy a spare piece for $40 if i ever need to go back to stock.

What did you end up doing to cover your stock LCD after you have moved it to the compartment? Did you fab or did you use the original plexi to cover it? Any gap afterwards? I'm interested in your mod...very nice.
