Great job on your fab. I just found out that i dont have enough room to fit in my 7" xenarc and will have to cut the housing. Could you let me know how you sliced it off so cleanly ?
thanks.

My question is how did you get that garage-door style compartment door?
Is that something that came with your car, or did you fabricate it yourself?

This part is a 350Z stock part from the 2003 model. Part number: 68250-CD010. The finisher plate at the bottom with the buttons is part number: 68410-CD000. Both can be found at your local Nissan dealer. In 2004 the part changed but the 2003 parts fit.

Hey RavageiWISE i looked up those parts but can't seem to get nissan to find the actual cubby compartment. they say the part # was superceded by this part #68250CD01A. but this doesnt show up either maybe you might have an idea of what I can do to get my dealership to find it. I have an altima and was wanting to use this to hide my project that I am going to be undertaking in a few months from now.

If I remember right the cubby is not available separately. It is included with the entire center dash panel.

Okay I went to my dealership here, had class so I couldn't post this until now. Anyhow they tell there are two types one with navigation and the non-navigation. they showed me a picture on the computer of theres that show the entire dash panels seperated. I just looked at the website nissan parts online and it also shows me the same thing and it shows the non-navigational piece seperate and their price is $73.88. the new question I had wanted answered but they could not answer for me was, which one has the lid on it like the one you did Altimat because they did not know this and kind of were beating around the bush because it was close to closing time. I see on the website but it doesnt show me only for the non-nav not the navigational one. The navigational one shows up on the website for $98.06 but no pic.

The non-nav panel is the one I used and it fit the 7" Xenarc surprisingly well. I'm assuming you want it for the door mechanism? It is a huge amount of work to make that blend into an Altima dash panel.

Going off topic here just for a second, in that storage area, do you think you can fit a double din unit into that area after removing the cubby compartment? I am trying to have my 350 looking as slick as shown in the pics of this thread. I'm trying to add an aftermarket GPS all in one (eg. Pioneer Avic-D3) in that particular area, so that way it won't be visible to the public and easier to see in the day.
