Starting in dash fabrication
I really didn't like the screen hanging on the dash, so now it's time to mount it in dash.
Here's the victim:
This is not my car, but I don't have a pic of my stock dash.

How are you gonna put it there ?
Are you gonna change the HVAC location or mold it on top of the 2 vents ?

The screen will go here, in place of the vents and the air controls, that will be relocated in another bezel which I'll fabricate after this dash is done.

Here's why it's going to be a difficult job. The dash has a small humpwhere the vents are, and I'm not sure of just how to mount the screen in there because of it. I have an ideea, but maybe you could help me out with a couple of other suggestions.

I think I'd be a serious contender to the prize of "the easiest install that still looks good" if I do this. But, I won't...

5 minutes of Photoshoping later...
I'll paint tha dash black aftetrwards.
Under the screen I'll place a tray slim DVD unit.
I'll follow Altimat's guide to mount the screen in dash. (really helpfull thread ) It will be recessed.
This would better come out good, as I don't have any spares, no spare dash, and no spare housing for the screen.
Here's the plan, I'll make a 0.4 cm plywood frame for the screen. The, hot glue the screen enclosure to the wooden frame with epoxy, and the hot glue the frame to the dash. Then, it will be time for bondoing everything.
Now, where did I put that dremel...?

I made a wood frame for the monitor case. I inserted a MDF piece in there until the glue sticks, cut in the corners so the glue wodn't stick.

A little test fit. It doesn't look like that now, but I forgot to take a pic when I finished the adjustments.
Right now, I'm waiting for the glue to harden. However, I made a mistake that I think will cost me dearly, I FORGOT TO SAND BEFORE APPLYING THE EPOXY GLUE... Well, I guess that's it, I only applyied the first layer of glue...
I didn't make a test fit in the car yet, because that would be useless, since I already know it won't fit. The remaing dash in the car will suffer extreme changes in order to fit this little bugger...but that will be done, when the dash is done.

Thanks, trust me, i'm trying, but it's hard with the finals and all.
Here's a pic of the glued dash, still have to apply another layer of glue, as this one is for guiding. The screen bezel is not yet fitted properly.
