Just bought a "project" dash.. pda mount suggestions?

I just got a dash off ebay to use as a "project" dash... but Im still having some problems figuring out the best place to mount the Garmin M5 GPS/pda I want to put in there..... Im realizing that PDA's dont mount very well... one really needs to be able to access all the connectors on the sides and all.... anyhow... I have included a pic of the dash... and a stock photo (not my car, but same make/model) of a 3000gt with a bit more... car around the dash.. Suggestions?

A close-up of the center dash area and the PDA might be more helpful, but IMO a PDA is best mounted on a bracket of some sort for portability.
