Double din case with swivel face
Lastest project - version 4. Fits my mr2, easy to fit any double din dash.
Please comment.
Fits a Hitachi(lilliput) 7" lcd, m10000 mb, opus 90/120 and slim dvd.

Besides the horrible choice in picture size, that thing is ridiculously awsome.

I was actually going to try and make something exactly like that with plexiglass, but I was waiting till the nano-itx became more common so I could mount the board upside down on the top. I was going to slap a HDD in and not a slim mount, but I never did...

The 2.5" hd screws under the mb. I’ll post some (decent) pics tomorrow. Sorry for the size.
I'm planning to provide it as a kit. Latch system is still unacceptable, but not a major problem. It is a push-in push-out device.
The nano mb will give it more room to maneuver, but is not necessary.
LCD housing is molded plastic. Some parts will be of stamped metal for a smoother operation.
I made samples in acrylic and aluminum. I like the acrylic better. Tell me what you think.

With a laptop drive, it shouldnt be an issue. Usually just a spring that pops the tray out. Maybe with a slot load it would be a bigger problem

That is so sweet.
I really love that. Would be even cooler with a slot load rather than tray load DVD.
Next generation maybe.
