Thank you Acuracl -
no point in *****ing about the cost of something if you aren't capable of doing it yourself, or don't have the desire to learn to do it yoursellf. if you don't have time!? welp, same thing applies.

Not my cup of tea, but like the above poster said to each their own.
About the cables, what a terrible comparison, you can get them almost at wholesale online, unless webdog plans on launching a retail store i dunno that he should charge retail prices...
and yes the price will be very market dependent...if no one wants to pay $100 it will go down to something more reasonable, but i got tired of waiting a long time ago and did it myself...good luck.
side note: im not attempting to discourage business or bash anyone or anything, just voicing my opinion, hey look, without name calling!
I have spent close to $400 on materials to reproduce them, and many many many hours. And I spent close to 30-40 hours working on the original making it fit, look good, and let you just screw the lilliput to the bezel.
And the R&D was not really for my personal gain; I was using the original hand built one and would be happy to continue. There’s time and money in finding and testing the different plastics against warping in the heat from sitting in a car all the time yet it needs to be flexible so it won’t break if it isn’t installed correct.
If I just wanted to crank them out I could but I want to make sure it will last more then a week...
It’s not as easy as you think to make a mold and reproduce something like this, I have gone though about 5 molds until I got it right and there are always unexpected things like the mold getting contaminated...
Even once I do start making them I will probably have to paint them and each one will require one - two hours of work before they are ready for shipping.

sure you could, but it wouldn't be finished very nicely, it wouldn't be very sturdy, and it damn sure wouldn't look as nice either.

ok, great response, thats all i was waiting for. your bezel is by far the best i've seen so im sure it took alot of time... with all of that trial and error it looks like it will turn out to be a high quality product. It seemed at first as though you were gonna crank them out pretty quickly...
best of luck with it, ill probably still buy one as i doubt ill get to look like yours and im anal about stuff like that looking perfect.

what happened to this??? I've been waiting all along since this thread started for these to become available and it seems as if everything has died off?
Let me know when they are available... I'll buy one immediately for $100.
