I just found the best adhesive ever
It's called Cyanoacrylate. It's kind of expensive initially but you won't use much of it. Grab a bottle of the promoter too. For me a bottle of the CA, the promoter, and two extra tips just incase the tip on the bottle got messed up was $10. This stuff dries in three seconds hard as a rock. It's like superglue on steroids.

Where'd you find it? What materials is it good for?

I found it at Hobby Lobby. Parts Express sells the stuff too. I used it on plastic. There's really no directions on the stuff. There's 3 different types of the stuff: thin, regular, and thick. I was confused about what this meant but it's the viscosity of the stuff. The thin is like regular ol' runny superglue, the regular's a little slower and the thick is like superglue gel.
I think it's only for use on plastics but it'll bond unlike plastics to one another. I used ABS and some sort of polypropylene and it's really really strong.

It's friggin' super glue.... I didn't need the Wiki entry for that!
So you're telling me that you just found the wonders of super glue?!?!?!?!
I picked up two small tubes at the grocery store the other day for $1.99, BTW. $10 should get you one huge-assed tube.

Its just the chemical name of superglue. Its only any good if the surfaces are very close together and there are no bending forces on it. It dries when air is removed so is fantastic on rubber and skin forget stitches just glue your cut together, stings a bit though. Its also good on something that has snapped assuming you put the join the right way as its a very close fit. If your trying to use it on something that isn't the tightest joint then put it in water. As soon as its immersed there isn't any air left so it sets. There is a limit to doing this though.

Fun thing to try with CA: if you're joining two pieces of acrylic, lay in a bead of CA around the joint. When it sets up, go ahead and sand it along with the surrounding acrylic down to about 1500 or 2000, then polish it with standard PBC... makes really nice looking transparent fillets that nobody knows how you did ;-)

This stuff I got is definitely not the run of the mill superglue. It dries way harder and faster than regular superglue.

 - at this thread!
omg i nearly wet myself!
The reason it bonded well is you used an adhesion promoter. they are normally silane based and ask as a bridge between two materials that have no common interface - eg organic resins and inorganic substances.
you can also get spray on curing agents that speed up the cure.
as for run of the mill - well yes there is is differing qualities but by saying you got some cyano means nothing as that is what all superglue it. some brands are better than others but that is usually because of additonal fucntional groups that make them more suitable to certain materials. It is like saying you found the best fuel ever for your car and it is called gasoline. not all cyanos are the same but cyano IS superglue and superglue IS cyano.

You know how the old saying goes - "If you can't say anything nice . . ."
I think I'll just leave it at that.

That sounds rather . . unpleasant.
