turbocad6,
I have to say this is one of the best fabrication write ups I have seen. Combined with the pictures it makes it an excellent guide. This thread should become a sticky. It is just that good.
The teaser pics look fantastic. I am sure that your mate will be extremely happy and very impressed with your work.

Sweet Writeup. My workmate drives an Altima and I've been trying to convince him to go the carpc route... he's drooling over your fabrication here. We just might have a new recruit
Excellent work Turbo!!

excellent writeup. the pictures really help out alot. i was wondering, this wouldnt be the route to take if you had alot of cutting you had to do with your dash. this is more of a route to take if you had an opening thats bigger than the lcd right?

FINAL PICTURES UP!!!! (mostly)
this method with the mould & keeping the piece seperate is really only an advantage to save the factory finish.... had this opening been cut, or the bezel was to be refinished anyway, then everything would be just about the same, but I would bond directly to the bezel instead of using the tin foil.... most of what I've done here is the same as if it was a permanent part of the bezel....
enjoy

Nice job!
How did you attach your bezel to the factory bezel?
