350z into a 300zx? tips please

hi guys, im trying my first fabrication job on my zed and think i know the end result im after. Basically i want to have a 7in touchscreen intergrated into my double din size recess in the dash witha folding cover to hide the screen when im away from the car. The only OEM install with this system I know of (certainly here in the uk) is the 350z, so i was wondering about fabricating that main section into my 300zx.

Below are a few pictures i have found searching round (hope people dont mind me using them! if they do i will remove them)

The problem i see will be a finishing one, the 350z dash is alot more curvy than my 300zx so im not sure the system will work. Does anyone know of anyother oem cover builds i could look at intergrating?

put it in the two pockets. You can try to make a pull out cover for it if you want.

I imagine enough time has passed. What did you eventually end up doing? Pics?? I'm at the stage of molesting my spare centre trim plate for my Transflective.
