Which type of LCD to install on Fiat Doblo?

Hi all,

I am planning to install my first CarPC in my Fiat Doblo, this is how the dashboard looks like:

One way is to put a 7" in-dash LCD into the single DIN, but I dont really like in-dash LCD as they are expensive and less stable.

I am thinking of fabricate a cover that can accommodate double DIN, so that I can fit a 7" LCD inside, is it too difficult for a newbie like me?

Or shall I just remove the cover altogether, and put a flip-down LCD like this and install up-side-down? Any brand to recommend?

But i am not sure how to cover the "hole" after i remove the HU cover.

is that a picture of your exact car? The one with the grey interior? Cause if those parts are available, you could re-use the hood and fabricate a new face for that panel to mount a screen. Measure if a 7" screen will fit in that area. From the pic, it looks like it would.

nope. mine only a single DIN, like the one in the first picture.

I cant find the double DIN cover in ebay or local dealer, so i am thinking if i should fabricate it, or remove it completely and use a flip-up LCD panel
