ok ive got a new problem now dudes.... and I think its cos I changed my setup to boot straight into front end... by using this tread
when pc first comes on.... the touch screen behaves very strange.... but after about 30 - 60 seconds its perfectly fine....
when I say strange.... its like its not been configered and it things its being pressed and when u touch it it wont react properly... (just like it aint be setup)
I can only assume its summit to do with the driver not being loaded straight away... then it gets loaded and its fine???
anyone got any tips that could maybe help me with this?

tried your guide and I was able to boot directly into Road Runner. Everything seemed to be working fine till I opened GPS and found out that for some reason GPS is not locking to any settelites. So I imported the orignal registry (with Explorer as shell) and restarted the computer and everything started working again.
What could be the connection between GPS unit and explorer ? that it does not work when window boots directly to frontend ?

Hi guys, I've too booting directly into RR. Well, it's much faster and simpler.
I've got a problem though.
IVT Bluetooth Soleil
I can get it to load embedded when I'm having explorer as the shell, but not when I boot directly into the frontend.
It seems like it's loading embedded, but the screen never pops up (it does when I'm on explorer shell). Wondering if anybody has encountered that and what is a possible solution?
I notice when I launch it it resides in the taskbar, not on the desktop. Might this be a possible cause?
I also have wifi (Aztech) and it works OK on both explorer and RR as my shell.
Thanks in advance

I believe that there Explorer has something to do with apps that reside in taskbar because Xport resides in taskbar too.
We need to find out a way to load these things with road runnner.

Are you having the same problem with me as well? Some of our apps doesn't load when you're using the frontend as your shell?
I notice not all apps behave the same (doesn't load) eventhough the resides on the taskbar (notification area). My Wifi program loads OK when running RR as shell, eventhough when explorer as shell, it too resides on the taskbar as well.
An alternate solution would be to get some software to load at the background that works as though it's the desktop task bar?
Is there such a program?

Put a shortcut to WinAmp in the Startup program folder.

road runner is capable of launching any program when starts, for example i use this to launch xport. RUN;C:\xport\xport.exe RRconfig tool has this option and writes this info to the rr.ini, but for more info about this,go to the Road Runner corner.

I hit Start and then Run and put in regedit and hit OK. But it said regedit is not a valid Win32 application and that's it.

I just thought I would share my current solution:
In regedit navigate to:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
You should see a familiar list (if you play with your boot settings a lot). It is the list of programs that windows loads during start up.
Go to edit, and create a new string value. Name it whatever you want (front end name most likely) and then for the value, put the path of the program you want to boot in quotation marks.
ex. "C:\RoadRunner\RoadRunner.exe"
When you restart your computer the program will then load on startup. Granted you will see your desktop for around 1/2 second but I found this loaded faster than changing the shell to Road Runner.
It also saves you from any sort of trying to launch explorer when you want to return to desktop. (I was launching explorer and only the My Documents window would appear)
Hope this hasn't already been exposed!

I have a problem. I'm running TinyXP_rev05 and changed the shell as described on the first page. I guess it works as it should:
I changed the registry key to start RoadRunner. Now when I reboot RoadRunner runs as shell. When I exit RoadRunner it automatically restarts. So far so fine.
But when I want to shutdown the computer, RoadRunner quits and then windows tries to restart it. But it can't because the shutdown-procedure is initiated. So a Windows message window appears saying "The application failed to initialize because the windows station is shutting down". Why does the system do that ? When I shutdown it obviously shouldn't restart the shell. I also set "AutoRestartShell" to 0, which doesn't make a difference.
1. So, how do I stop windows trying to restart the shell-program when shutting down ?
2. Not that important, but I'd rather like RoadRunner not to restart, when I quit it.
EDIT:
Hm, I guess this question fits better in the RoadRunner forums, so I posted my question also there. If that's against the rules I'll delete this post asap. I just still left it in this thread, because that's a problem which didn't appear in this FAQ before, and I guess this could be helpful for other users.
EDIT2:
Problem solved...more or less. After changing back from minilogon to winlogon this problem doesn't occur anymore. Anyone got a clue why it's not working correctly with Minilogon ?

Autologon problem
I'm running frodoplayer and I have it set to run as my shell. I edited using tweakui the autologon files to automatically log me on and for some reason after I edit the files I restart and it works fine then I shut down the computer and come back the next morning and theres the stupid login screen again. Whats the deal with that? I've done everything that the guide tells me to do but I think its just not saving it in the registry after a complete shutdown. Any suggestions.
