FAQ: My Lilliput won't calibrate correctly.

If you're having a problem where your Lilliput (even if brand new) looks like this when you calibrate it:

Image stolen.. er borrowed.. from yamathegreat in this thread.

Then it looks like you need a new touchscreen overlay.
You may have some luck contacting whomever you bought the screen from and arranging a return, but if not the replacement panel can be found at DigitalWW... here.

They're a cinch to install. Carefully disassemble your Lilliput and remove the taped on touchscreen panel. Now remove the protective covering on the replacement panel and secure it on the screen with a little tape of your own. Hook its little connector up just like the old one was and reassemble your Lilli and you're good to go. Easy as that.

Edit: I'm sticking the word "calibration" in here so this thread will show up in searches

For me it was the old one (619). The newer (629) may or may not have the issue also, I do not know for sure.

For the most part the new ones have been relativly trouble free compared the massive amounts complaints and threads about the old ones. They sourced a different touchscreen overlay that holds up better to heat and is less prone for failure.

Disclaimer. This if not out of experience but from reading other peoples evaluations and posts

The Lilliput 619 has been through about 5 revisions in the past year and touchscreen are now more reliable then the Xenarc's. The 619 and the 629 Lilliputs both use the same internals they are not “older” or “newer” but rather different casings.
