FAQ: Where is Armen of DigitalWw?
There are a large number of threads on this forum that usually are titled something like this:
"HELP!! Where is Armen/DigitalWW?!!" and usually go something like this:
"Back in [insert date 6 weeks ago] I ordered a [insert product name] from Armen at DigitalWW. I received it but the [insert part name] was broken. I emailed him and he said to send it back for replacement. I did but that was [insert number between 1 and 10] weeks ago!
Now he won't answer any of the 15 emails I've sent him. Help! Has anyone seen Armen?!
Folks, Armen is a one man show with a reputation for honesty and integrity among most on this board. But he's a one man show. By most reports, these issues get resolved -eventually.
The best way to get in touch with Armen is not by email but by telephone. Posting "Where's Armen" threads doesn't usually help either. So make the call and talk to him. He'll eventually come through for you.
[Edit: thread updated 4/24/2008 - many more posting lately about service issues including payment received but no product shipped, no email answers, no contact after weeks of trying.]

Armen is a good guy, I'm sure he isn't about to leave you with a broken display.
He knows LCD's upside down and he offers good prices. I have had late shipments but I'd rather deal with someone knowledgable like him so I continue to place orders.

I've bought stuff off of him and no problem, I called too early because he's in the Midwest once but he answered later in the day.

I will absolutely vouch for Armen as well. If there is any issues, patience... he is a one man show, running out of his home. But, that being said, he is the easiest to work with. I had a little short notice trip a few weeks ago, and my LCD was down at the time. I shipped it to him on a tuesday, and i am dammed if it wasnt in my hot little hands thursday at noon, good as new! he is an awesome guy!
by the way armen, if you are reading... i need a new M2-ATX!!!!

Can you tell me exactly wich date a few weeks ago you send him this LCD? Because i send my DWW-700M back for a replacement(different type) the 3th week of december, its been almost 2 months now and still nothing? i am worried that my package never arived at Armen but i cannot contact him to ask if its there and he just needs time to work on other things. I have patience but its normal to worry over a package that you send to another country that has a value of over 500 dollars right?
I am not saying Armen is a bad guy but i would really like a response like: "yes your package has arrievd safely and i just need some time on other things before i send you a replacement"

Yea I sent him my LCD on Feb 2nd (iirc) to have him install into an DWW70H. I wouldve done it myself had I known it would take so long. Ive tried to call him repeatedly but he never picks up. After sending multiple emails he finally emailed me back last weekend. He said itd be done Wednesday and hed get in touch. Its now Thursday.
I understand that some of you can vouch for him. I dont think im going to get scammed. However I think there is a limit to patience. Considering how long this has taken and how little contact he has provided, despite his good quality reputation, this is very unprofessional. Atleast if I was scammed I wouldn't be optimistic towards getting it back, so Id buy a new one and move on. At this point I dont know whats happening, and it's killing my install.
:edit: Armen emailed me back. He made me an offer to compensate for the wait. He seems like a nice guy. Lets see how this ends...
:edit2: the offer wasnt really good. appearently he hadnt even started working on my LCD in the month + he had it. i just had him sent me the lcd back. he sent it out the day i asked. atleast he sent it back quick

Yeah but sometimes as a business guy when he says it wont take longer than a couple of days and its been weeks thats bad business ethics dont promise what you cant deliver. Over he was a nice guy he must be busy but he needs to learn not to promise things and not follw through. Still bought stuff from him and awesome guy to deal with but when it comes to repair is way different story and communication a bad as awell
