I voted for RR simply because I find it to be the easiest, most regularly updated, most skins, etc.
Nothing new, but my opinion should be heard!!!!

Voted Roadrunner - any day - Good on you Guino
Terran
PS Would have been Mediacar which I liked too then Frodoplayer after that.
PPS Brady you need to add ICT too from Cartft.com - I understand its popular in Germany and surrounding areas.

I really like Centrafuse XLE but I don't feel like $349 for the software though.
Thats crazy expensive, when I can get Roadrunner for free...

I really wouldn't consider $349 alot, figuring the time put into such a project!
As I have been with RR since its birth and donated $75 so far (about due for some more too)for ALL the work, effort, and support that guino & other contributers have provided, and thats small to what others have donated. And yes, you certainly do not have to donate, but it one way of showing how much we(the community/users) appreate above said things... and if one figures time spent and total amount donated, its next to nothing going on a per hr scale, compared to a job..which is it clearly not.

Why does everyone like Road Runner so much? I was running Frodo Player and I am moving this into a new car and I was searching around, since it has been over a year, for a new front end or a nicer skin. I tried Road Runner and I don't like it AT ALL. The skins for it all have an icon in the middle...but that icon is on a qhite square...looks horrible. And when you run navi it doesn't link it up with the software is just runs another program and puts a navi bar at the top that says road runner but the navi program(iguidence 2.1) covers part of it and you can see the window border of the navi software and the desktop in the background. Frodo player never allowed me to see the window background. Always ran things within the software instead of on top of it. Why does everyone like Road Runner so much? Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to set it up better? I thought it even looked unfinished. These must be something wrong with the way I am doing things.

Well the white square means you need to update your flash.
Also sounds like haven't taken the time to set it (Road Runner) or the skin up properly.
RR is ever evolving so it will take a bit more setting up the some other frontends.

It didn't prompt for a flash update, where do I fo to get that? Macromedia.com? And all the skins seem to crash. I have been going through the setup thing that installs with Road Runner and I can't get anything to work right and when I get close...if I change the skin nothing works, nothing loads, all just crashes and hangs up. And is there any way to change the middle thing from a spinning Honda symbol? I drive a Z.

You really haven't done any config at all. You should be ashamed at even posting.
White sqaure is the flash update. There are a million threads on this subject alone. Get Flash 8 (yes 8, not 9) and the ocx file all free. If you want 9 anyways, the easiest way is to open a page that needs flash in Internet Explorer, not Firefox and get it to install the plugin.
Also the logo in the middle is just the skin you tried. THere are many many many skins and a very few actually have a logo in the middle. You can even make your own. For the default skins though, logo.swf is what the honda logo is. YOu can change it to a clock, or anything that is a flash file. Also a huge thread, maybe even stickied with all the different downloads of pretty much every automaker in the world from ford to citroen.
And your complaint about the gps program is pretty dumb too. That too is a skin. Since you chose to use iGuidance, and not MapMonkey which is pretty much covered. iGuidance has actually become almost native in RR now too. And iG 3.0 is far superior to ig2. check out the embedding iguidance 3 into road runner thread. WIth that it becomes one of the best frontend/gps combos. And the bar accross the top is all skin. Look at external_gps.skin and what do you know. that is what it looks like. You want to change it, go ahead. Nobody and nothing is stopping you.
THere is a FAQ section for a reason, and a search button that is even complimented by the search by google which is superior to the forums search when searching for keywords, and not thread titles.
I am usually a pretty helpful person, but this is just plain annoying. Search.
