I have 2 Garmin GPS USB 18.
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=139&pID=6445

I am very happy with the accuracy, and the maps are very good that come with the gps. I hate how the gps and the maps are locked so they only work together. Maybe if these companies would spend a little less worrying about pirates, they could make the product cheaper. For a little over a hundred bucks for the unit with maps, the price cannot be beat.

tymt:

It is the model number for the GlobalSat series of GPS recievers. You can check out more about the product by going here --http://www.globalsat.com.tw/eng/prod...l_00000044.htm

My question for owners of the system: What map software are you using with the GlobalSat BU-353?

Eightnine - I'd recomend taking a stroll through the GPS forum its self. You'll find that people use whatever software they want with any reciever they want. They are all compatable with one another.

Dimon(rus) is on a distinguished road
1/2off. My for-poll answer - tyco dead reconing gps chipset, inside their `development kit`. It works better in tunnels, underground parkings, between high building. Each stopping I'm surprised with no-drifting gps-cursor in the software. There is something to compare. My old BU-353 died this december. That was 3rd russian winter of its onroof lifetime. Unfortunately it knows everything, 3cm of pure ice, 15cm of heavy snow, each winter there were -30°C and less, carwashing, dirth etc.

<--Some photos are in `my photos`
