photosensor doesnt appear to respond to light level
Here's another question to bug you guys with.. i received my photosensor today and hooked it up to the brain per instructions (red facing the inside of the board). Using a dummy skin i tested the results. No matter if the sensor is in ambient light or in total darkness all it continues to do is jump between two numbers... 0.796 and 0.801. I checked the skin to make sure its reading from the correct port, i've changed ports, i've tried adding the formula ( ($p$/0.016)|p=VINC[!] ) to the #SETTINGS# section but nothing seems to make a difference. What should i check next?

that's wild. did you try it on multiple inputs? what's it report in the debug window?
there's a chance the sensor is busted, if thats the case, we'll happily replace it

it's acting like an open circuit, or you're reading the wrong port.
debug window:
click just under the title bar
hold crtl, shift, alt, and type "DEBUG"
type "open raw debug" in the new window
screenshot the debug window

ok here's the screenshot
i looked at the board again to make sure i have the right port and its plugged into a6 but i understand how u mean that it looks like its an open circuit because if i change the temp sensor to the incorrect port i get the same type behavior.

i tested the voltage at the 5v metal pin on the sensor end and its receiving power, there must be something wrong within the small plastic casing. If its ok what i'll do is create a new order for the extensions and stuff i planned on purchasing today, and in the notation reference this thread. That way you guys can just ship the new sensor with the rest of my order.

ok i placed the order. I originally attempted to do the payment via paypal (not express) but it added $5.00 shipping to the price with shipping.. so i cancelled that and just paid via paypal express which worked fine. That might be something of a problem for someone else downt he road though.
