how much difference is there between it and a standard sensor?

Don't know what a standard sensor is. I asked about humidity and that part number was suggested. Was told it should be about 20 bucks. I paid a little more. What's your suggestion? I'm just bluntering through the dark, here.

I'll give you a laugh. For the next part, a fluid level indicator made with the pot from a game controller, a ping pong ball, and a piece of piano wire.

I was asking how it compared to sensors/meters/gauges you would typically use in your greenhouse (I think you have the greenhouse? maybe the iguana cage? i can't remember)

Greenhouse and now hydroponics. There was no automation before the Brain. I'm in over my head! - I do graphics. My skin has working thermometers, sweeps, and graphs the history, but it's dumb. The last programming I did was Pascal! Configurator build the system, now I need logic. I have bought 3 books on xml and all are geared to the web or databases, not much help. I need reference materials or examples that'll help with conditional statements and looping in the brain.

XML books won't really help you.

In this thread though, can you post how accurate the humidity sensor is? You said 24% relative humidity - what does a standard hygrometer read under those conditions?

I got Radio Shack digital, which was unresponsive, until I cut the back out and exposed the sensor. Both exposed to moving air, were very sensative. I sampled for an hour, they trend the same, mine showing 10% lower. Since I'm concerned about the trend, I'm a happy camper.
