I have reported this problem to our hosting company to see what they say. If they say "there isnt a problem", I cant do anything further. I really hope they find a problem, because I have no idea.

h3rk will become famous soon enough
I'm sure that kink will get worked out... I'll be happy to keep these links up until the problem proves to be solved.

I wonder if this will interfere with the updater...

Anyways, I'll try to keep up with any updates for the links I have up, in the meantime.

Ok, got a response from them. Basically, they have no problem, do a traceback. I think the traceback is a good idea. If you are having problems, please post what you find, I will forward it onto them. If you dont want to post, please PM me. If we get people with the problem to send the information, we can track it down.

Just so you know, this is what I sent, and below is what they sent me including detailed instructions on how to perform the operation.

Thanks for your guys help,

-- Nick

Here is the actual website:
http://www.fusioncontrolcentre.com/F...g/software.php

The first 3 links in the main content area (~280Mb each) are what people are
complaining about.

My business partner in Florida, keeps getting timeouts on the downloads, and
says the site is acting "unresponsive and slow" which it hasnt before.
A customer in Kansas (in that first link post #7) is experiencing the same
problem.
A customer in Italy is experiencing the same problem.
A customer in Missouri (post #14 in the first link) is experiencing the same
problem.
A customer in Las Vegas, Nevada is having no issues, fast download speed.
Myself in Colorado Springs, Colorado am having no issues, medium download
speed (but I think this is ISP throttled at the moment).

So it seems west coast US is working. East coast and potentially Europe are
having the same problem as well.

Thankyou,

In order to better assist in this matter, the users that are experiencing download problems and that are not using a 3rd party download manager may want to preform a trace route to your server.

To further investigate this matter we ask that you provide the following information:

1. Your Internet Service Provider.
2. Your Location (City, State)
3. A trace route from your location to your server.

Windows:

From your Start Menu, go to ‘Programs,’ then to ‘Accessories.’
Click on ‘MS-DOS Prompt’ or ‘Command Prompt’ depending on your Operating System. A new window will pop up. The window will show something similar to this:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
(C) Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\WINDOWS>

At the prompt, type the following then hit Enter:

tracert [your server IP or domain name]

You will get back a long list of information then the command prompt again.

To copy the results:

Right click on the menu bar of this window.
Click on Edit: Select All.
Right click again and select Edit: Copy.

This will put the highlighted information into your Windows clipboard, allowing you to paste that into a text file to attach to your response, such as a Notepad or Wordpad .txt file

Macintosh OSX or Linux

You can use an application called Terminal to run a trace route. You should be able to locate Terminal in your hard drive in the Utilities folder, under Applications. Terminal uses a command-line interface. This means you'll be entering commands at a prompt rather than using the more familiar Aqua graphic interface.

Click on Applications: Utilities: Terminal.
At the prompt, type the following then hit Enter:

tracert [your server IP or domain name]

Highlight the contents of the Terminal window.
Click on the ‘Edit’ menu and select ‘Copy.’

You can then paste this information into a text file, which you would then attach to your response.

We understand that this is quite a few steps; however this will allow us to further research the problem you are experiencing. We appreciate your assistance in tracking down the source of this problem.

Please let us know if we can assist you in any other way.

Regards,

Aubrey P

Here is mine: And if it doesnt look the same at the end as yours, please put the -h XX where XX is a larger number so it keeps going until the end.

And obviously, I have Comcast... Which btw is doing crap speed throttling in 3 cities, Colorado Springs being one of them

Also this is the speed test from the university. Could only download to a shared network drive, so speeds would have been faster otherwise.

I am on a 10Mbs fiber from our local utility and am only getting ~85KBs download speeds. I ran some test downloads from other locations (the only one that I know the server location is in Indiana and it gives me ~800Kbs) and am not experiencing any slowdowns.

From my trace route it looks like my bottleneck is in Phoenix.
