Could be having to do with DirectX. Is this the latest version?
Have you tried running it in basic video mode? Do you get a message when it dies or just the "program has stopped" blanket message?

Make a button on the page to change to a different page. Then try.
If MDX is really frozen, it would not maximize or minimize or anything. And further if the change to a different page works, then it is hardware or driver related. I have put the program in hibernate, standby, even clicking things while entering standby/hibernate, and every time it comes right back to life.
It is hard for me to fix something I cant even diagnose as a problem.
Also run with the "-debug" command line switch. If there is an error, and it is freezing, an error message will popup and the program will tell the problem. I need that error if shows up. If it doesnt, then I know the program itself is ok. I am guessing it is either hardware or driver.
Usually when I do testing I do it without the Brain hooked up. One of the reasons is it is a laptop and I program everywhere, usually not at a place where I plug in and test. Reason the virtual brain was born.

Try the new update. I have removed all ACPI event handlers, and program closing handlers. So now it will just go blindly until closed.

I know this thread is a little old, but I'm having problems with hibernation also... The brain itself is fine after hibernation, its the program that I'm having problems with.
After it comes out of hibernation the program is transparent and you cant even click around to try to hit a button. But if i make it re-sizable then if i just grab the edge and resize it, then the graphics pop back and everything is good. The problem is that when its embedded into roadrunner i cant do this.
When you come out of hibernation and the problem occurs the brain still works - I set it so one of the inputs would trigger an output and even when the program is messed up I can trigger that output so it seems to me its just a graphics issue.
I had this issue before but ignored it hoping it was something stupid, then I got a SSD drive and did a fresh install of windows and fusion and i still have the problem. Also happens on my dell laptop.
Debug mode does not give me any messages.
I'm running Intel DG45FC Mini-ITX Board, Intel E4500 Core2Duo Processor, with Windows XP Pro SP2...
Where do I begin to troubleshoot this?

there has to be something in common with our setups... it must not be happening to many others because no one else has brought up the topic really other than us... or they just aren't hibernating...
