Fusion Control Centre Uber MDX Release - Version 3.1.0.535

New software released on the website. It is version 3.1.0.528 and includes all the features previously mentioned and bug fixes with some of the major ones being:

COM support: Now talk to RoadRunner or any other program from MDX
Better Drivers: Uses the LibUSB drivers which are cross platform and fast. Speeds of up to 250 samples a second with low CPU useage.
Button Clickable Area: Some buttons up click area only worked on the top half. Now it works everywhere as it should.
Between Function: Instead of using 7 logic blocks to create a between function, it is now native and takes only 3. So it also takes 3/7th the time to evaluate.
Assembly driven logic: Instead of parsing an XML file every iteration and taking many many cycles, the program now compiles a large integer only array to do all logic. This has reduced CPU useage by 1500% on my test machine and the program is much more responsive for highly intense configuration files.

To use:

Download the new installer here: http://www.fusioncontrolcentre.com/F...g/software.php

It is around 8Mb now. It will check if you have .NET 3.5 installed. If you dont, it will download and install it for you (~200Mb). It will check if you have Windows Installer 3.1 which is required for .NET installation. It will check and automatically download IE if you have anything below IE5 which is required by .NET. It will NOT install at all if you dont have Windows 2003 SP3 or higher, Windows XP SP2 or higher, or Windows Vista. It will install but will NOT work if you have a 64 bit system.

After the install has run, you will need to install the NEW Fusion Brain drivers. If the old drivers are installed, you need to go into device manager, select the Fusion Brain, right click, and uninstall. Enable the checkbox to delete the driver from the system or else it will reinstall itself automatically when you dont want it to. Reboot. Yes Reboot fully, this is needed. If your Fusion Brain is automatically detected and installed on reboot, then repeat until nothing automatically installs when you reboot. Then and ONLY then, go into the directory where you isntalled the program and there is a folder "Drivers", and point Windows to that directory.

Then enjoy.

2k1 -- Thanks for the updates. Just a question... On voice commands. How long before we will be able to take out all commands that do not start with the system name?

Now that this is done, I am working on all the other little requests floating around.

I couldnt release anything for a while because of the new driver and internals. I can probably get it out by the weekend.

As in we should not make the upgrade till it's fixed or just a minor bug?

I was going to upgrade tonight to see where I get with my never ending steering wheel control battle.

EDIT: FIXED BUG, LINK BACK UP

I have reverted the website installer to the older version, it is not a big bug though it is just going to take some time to think a way around it. I think I have a solution I am going to try out in a bit here.

And the update has 0 changes to the voting system, so it wont change any working or non-working configuration files. It is all for optimization and graphical improvements within the program than the dll for COM control.

h3rk will become famous soon enough
I'm happy to see this is finally out now (or will soon be)! It sure is zippy. I can't reiterate just how important it is to be absolutely certian that the old drivers are fully unistalled, and the OS is asking you for new drivers, by following the procedure above.

Also, did you fix a bug with the button's graphics during a button press?

The upclick not working on the bottom half is what I was referring to, not the "pushed" state.

3 problems dr toasty....

1. every time i close the skin window and reopen it FB is not there. I have to close it again, unplug the usb and plug it again. Then if i open the skin again everything is ok (FB is present and working).

2. on the previous version if i clicked the lower part of my button i had the on/off effect. If i clicked the upper part i had a toggle effect. NOW i always have the toggle effect. Sometimes it returns always to the ON position others to the OFF state.

3. installation wipes out all the old "content" directory. Maybe a notice here will remind people save their files somewhere out of MDX directory using the configurator and before the update, to prevent lost them.
