Unhappy New User Confusion

OK, things are not going well here. I just got my board with 2 temp sensors. It's v3.2. I finally got the software installed and tried the temp sensor walk thru. Temp 1 seems to reads high at 29.2C and temp 2 reads low at 9.5C (it's about 65F here in my office). I swapped the sensors but the readings stayed the same. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Also is there a software manual for this version? I am totally lost on how to use the software. For instance how do I add the C to F converter?
Is there a hardware manual for this board? I looked at the manual on line but my board has 4 additional jumpers with one set jumpered. What are they?
All I need is a push in the right direction. Thanks for your help.

How do you have your sensors connected? To what pins and which direction is the red wire facing (into the centre of the board, or towards the outside of the board)?

What does your configuration file look like? Do you have auto-averaging turned on for the analogue input you used?

OK. I think I got it to work. Can someone point me to instructions on how to add the C to F function?
Thanks

I dont know why but the forums want to make all links to flash content play in the little media player.

I forced it to be a direct link.

Hope it helps.

You need to play with the software. I did the same. There are functions that take the input voltage and turn it into a value. As an example, here is the grist of my tach function. I have 0 to 5 volts input that represents 0 to 5000 rpm. The funtion takes the input value, and multiply it by 1000. The result is a conversion from voltage to rpm. The function can be adjusted very easily once you find the function. You do NOT need to know progrmmming. It is all a graphic representation. Very nice, but as you said, a users manual would be very very helpful. It took me several days of playing to figure out how to make functions and how to show the output.

Also the additional slots if you are refferring to a version 3 board, are of no use to you the enduser except the one that is jumpered.

If you dont want the LEDs lighting up (maybe trying to hide it, save power, or something else), then take the jumper off.
