I think I know what it is. I think I have an option to turn off "click sounds"
Look for that.

I allready have this option off. So that does not seem to be the, or at least my, problem. I'll keep looking to fix this problem. If i find something i'll let you know. Thanks for the help so far.

your problem and mine are unrelated - once my PC is all booted and fuctioning everything is fine - i have NO pops switching tracks winthin windows.

MY Problem is that when Windows takes control on my souncard during boot I get a large *POP* ...scares the crap out my girl everytime ...ima killer her, but thats a different story.

anyway ...I have NO HU and my speakers are directly wired to the AMP then from the AMP to my sound card.

I have been thinking about putting my AMPS on a switch that way I can flick them on once the PC boots - but im afraid that the only difference that I will get is that the AMPS will pop THEN (when I flick the switch)

SuzukiAero, I have the exact same carputer setup as you with an external amp and mine only pops when my sound car is initialized. I am going to try a switch but I don't think it will work.
