FreeDrive 1.06 AKA Enforcers Personal Edition

I have decided to release the current version my personal edition of FreeDrive seperate from the iDrive skin.
Please note you will need to install the orginal Freedrive 1.0x preview from CDR's www.freedrive.co.uk site, install that using the installer and then copy the file you download from me over the top.

If you are already a current user of FreeDrive you can skip the above step. However you should make a backup of your FreeDrive directory, because I will not be responsible if your system no longer works.

OK, what is different about my edition?
Some fixes, additions and some added SDK commands

Fixes
------
Skin Browser now shows a preview of eacjh skin
Voice prompt now shows correct state on initial load
POI's show Miles when Imperial settings used

Additions
-----------
Night skins to all menus
Speed Camera Alert details sent to external programs (ie RoadRunner)

SDK Commands
-------------------
save - Saves Skin,Gps or voice settings
redlight - Adds redlight camera to database
mobile - Adds mobile camera to database
gatso - Adds Gatso format is GATSO:x where x is a number between 0-5 matching the speed camera values in SDK.ini
gotoco - Goto to coordinates format is GOTOCO:lat:lon
cancelcam - Cancels Speed camera alert
forwardcam - Updates direction of speed camera in database
reversecam - As forwardcam but does reverse direction
expand - This expands the POI list

Read the readme.txt to see all the extra commands and their use.
Thanks to CDRSKULL and GOBBY for the original program and for making the source available.

I would like a all voice on/off support. Maybe thats easy to implement. Im not using Freedrive just because I cannot disable voice commands (like, 300m left etc.), which I can in MapMonkey.

Thanks

I'm sure I've looked for that before but not been able to work out how to turn that off.

Will have another look in the new year though.

BTW expect to see GPS tracking in the next release.

Without knowing how they xmit their data, I doubt it.

I have designed mine to be simple, and will release the server code so anyone can add it to their own site rather than rely on mine being available. (IE if I disappear they can still have tracking)

What sort of traffic do you want added?

GPS Gate has a published standard I know that.... it may be better to use their server than yours as its one less thing for you to worry about how ever it does have down sides.

If you do your own you could do with an option to have loging on, private ( ie still logging but authorised guests cant see the data - ideal for hiding from the missus ) and off. Also you could do with caching too. I've got a load of ideas I passed on to GPSGate some of which are in the newest version.... I'll see if I can dig the email out for you.

Re traffic - Gobby has some stuff which I'll nudge him about.

Well I just want to do something simple really to go with Access Control (but adding it to FreeDrive is easy and doing a standalone client naturally follows on). So I wanted to do a basic server to make easy for anyone using it with AC. Hence I will release the code for the website so that they can put it on their own webspace and they won't have to worry about registering accounts anywhere.

(I will have a look at GPSGate, Goops and the others though)

Well 'your' tracking page is accessed through a username and password you set up, so in theory only the people you give the Username and password to can see it.

I haven't enabled caching yet but will be adding that in the next few days (it shouldn't be a biggy).

CUSTOMFDSPEED - Current speed, Number between 0 and 155 (unless you have a supercar without the limiter on)
CUSTOMFDCAMSPEED - The Speed Limit of the current Speed Camera (0-70 or possibly R for Redlight)
CUSTOMFDCAMDISTANCE - Distance from Speed camera in yards (1000-0)

Yeh - but the way this flash stuff works ( well the smae example I'm getting basic experince with ) is that it looks for specifics.

The example I'm starting with is the GPS.swf from MC2 ( the little window in all the screens. )

OK have now found where it changes that.

It's nice and obvious, it's under Visual Notifications

So expect the abilty to have those turned off in next release in with the voice prompts..

Will also add an SDK command to toggle them off a la ccsnets City mode request I seem to recall.
