He is using the same map as me were using the australian map so i don't know why we have this problem

Also im not using my skin to use FD i've been using the standard skins u had and i downloaded FD off your website so i don't know why it don't work

Ahhh bloody hell the installer started having crc errors in the voice files now it's asking me for disk 2 wtf??

*kicks the pc* Grrrrr.....

Great now its screwed up the d3 sdk install

i'll redownload it again....

I redownloaded the FD installer and it's working fine now i tried to route to an address and it works fine but the loading of the city list is a tad bit slow.

But it seems to be all fine now (i downloaded 0.51 not 0.50 again) looks like my VB6 runtime files were out of date which seem to cause the runtime error for address but the new installer fixed that.

So all is good so far

But will it be possible to have icons on the main skin to load other things instead of the menu like route to an address?

Icons.. words whatever you want :-). I'm waiting for Netsuo to release he new version with FreeDrive support, but for now I'm playing with RR. I'm halfway through a skin i'm doing in flash for it. I got to the GPS skin, decided FreeDrive didnt do what I wanted, thats when I started coding freedrive again, now its upto a standard where I can continue with the skin, below is the skin so far.. the clear / history / home / address buttons work great. I just want to move a few labels outs.

I'm gonna make the skin more like a BMW nav with the address poi etc on the side but with simple text so even a person who doesn't know what POI is or route to an address knows what it means

Great work can't wait to see what netuso does with freedrive

something like this would be very easy to do :-) the buttons on the sides could be set to whatever you want.. 2d / 3d / birdseye / address / history / fav's / cancel / clear / home .. etc.. etc

Hello CdRsKuLL!

I'm about to finnaly install my carputer, and your FreeDrive works so good with touch screens. I was very happy to se a new version with new functions but I can't get it to run at all.

when I start the program it display a messagebox "Run-time error '13': Type mismatch" and when i klick ok it exits.

0.40 works fine, 0,50 and 0.51 doesn't. I have even tried the exe that you posted for an other problem but no luck.

So I tried to intall FreDrive 0.51 at my work computer (just to make sure it was no old files or settings that caused the problem) so today and I get the exact same problem, then I intalled 0,40 and it works. Map Monkey works, so I don't think it's a problem with Desinator SDK.

I run Swedish WinXP SP2 om both computers.

Do you have any idea what could be the broblem?

can you try changing the skin for me to the default one, go to freedrives folder and open up settings.ini, in there change the line skin=Default, see if you then get the same message.

Still the same problem, but now its the Default skin in the backgound instead.

ok can you download this version and see if this sorts the problem out, if it does then I will need to look at how i'm doing the sdk

Looks good, I'#ve currently got my car pc out of the car and was working on reducing xp footprint and getting it on to a compact flash card so i'll give this a go tonight.
