Do you have good knowledge of destinator.ini? I was wondering if it was possible to make the "stick type" roads, that look just like a thin black line on my map be like the birds-eye roads... thicker and lighter in color, so as to appear more "road-like" on the map? kinda like google-map roads? I was wondering if the road thickness and color could be set via ini...

Hey CDR,

I havent tested this in the car yet.... but just testing at home, I chose an address and was routed to a different one....

I wanted to go to "Escocia R" house number 253... It made the destination (due to the other changes I didnt see the destinator next maneuver bar anymore, but followed by draggin the map to the end-point, and clicked on the end point to see what address it took me to...

yep can confirm what you said is true.. defo wierd stuff. I have managed to sort it out anyway.. if you didnt put the house number in it routed fine. So now I find the coordinates before I stick the house number in, then once I have these find the coordinates again and it seems to work fine.. O well its fixed anyway. I have also removed the map changing dialog and replaced it with a verison of my own.. I'm thinking of getting rid of the poi dialog and creating one of my own, then freedrive will be d3 dialog free :-) The only downside of this is you would need to create your own poi.. which isnt to hard really and theres loads of sites with them on. I will also be doing a better freedrive website which will hold poi including speedcams and stuff just for d3. Members of the site will be able to add / download these free of charge. What do you think ?

Sounds good Cdr, I could do with chatting with you on Friday if poss re: POIs for traffic alerts and the best way of doing it with MM and FD.

yeah no probs.. the next version of FD wont support prev skins.. as I have now made afew more labels, including present location and directions movable and sizable.. should help in creating some kewl skins :-) might even do a new default one myself :-)

About the POIs, cant we use the D3POIs with your custom dialog, or import?

I dont think it would be that easy for my area to dload POIs...

unsure if they can be converted or not, I will take a look.

I really need to create a decent looking skin for the new layout, which shows what changes I have done.. I will knock something basic up now, should be ready in 30 mins or so..

For the POIs, base it on CSVs in a specific format, that way it should be easy to import any info. Just an idea.

I was using a cleared out skin with RR... basically no menu, no touchmenu, no labels, no satelite/speed/eta/etr, anything... all pulled to the RR skin...

With your new design of the next maneuver bar, can I have the next maneuver bar just pop up when a maneuver actually exists? in other words still have my map-only view as I currently have? (Map, zoombar, current street name)

cdrskull it looks great. I see you already adjusted the compass to letters instead of full words. Can't wait to try it out.

yeah.. I have made it so if you dont want any labels to show you just leave them out of the skin :-) . I have made the current position and directions not a bar anymore, just a label, if you know what I mean.

It may be a couple of days before the next release as speedcams are being integrated at the moment also :-) big improvment for the next one..
