Another thing, can you make the ADD camera menu itself skinable, or give us SDK commands for such, and more importantly the possiblity to define the default speeds that show up in the menu? (Like ability to change 30, 60, 90, etc defaults to what is used in our areas)

I will include a sdk command that will allow you to add any speed you want.. if FDCAM:48 will add a alert for 48.. next release m8

Observations.

The voice announcing a speed camera seems to be lower than that of the one giving directions.

Big flashing speed camera warning is interesting, not sure whether I like that or not yet.

Install seems to have cleared my history

otherwise, looking good.

Yeah I want to impove on the voice.. so it says the speed of the cam also.. and yep I agree there low in volume.. I will have to grab soundforge or something from the newsgroups and increase the volume on em.. unless someone wants to make me a set of wav files.. Please :-)

Cdr, is there a way to specify more than one program in the sdk.ini file if you want the speed, heading etc. sent to more than one application?

Yes, I can confirm that, I uninstalled Freedrive and Map Monkey first.
After that I removed any lasting files/directories..

I tried again.. remove all first.. then map monkey, after that freedrive..
Map monkey works but freedrive doesn't..

I just don't get it

this error may be caused by the "," and "." could you tell me how numbers a shown over there.. are they 123.32 or 123,32 ? If this is the case you can either change your region settings or wait for the next version to come out.

If this isnt the case.. I will have to think some more :-)

No, I ment the add camera section...

I'd thought it was a good idea to keep it skinnable, or at least make the text (speed) a label
instead of a part of the graphics so that we could change the speeds in an ini file.

Over here we have 30, 50, 70, 90 and 110km/h nothing else, so we wont have any use for 40, 60, 80...
where as Denmark have 80 and 130 and a few others, see my point ?

From what I can tell there is no way of adding a speed not listed, it's either one of those eight or no speed at all.

I haven't tested the speed-cam yet, will do tomorrow though...
But one thing that really annoyed me with MapMonkey (not Ninj's fault) when I was driving in Germany
(well, apart from being stuck in an focus when I for once could go as fast as I wanted

)
was all the warnings for mobile speedcams, eventually the databases on the net will get clogged
up with mobile cameras and soon enough you wont be able to go 100m without a
"Warning, mobile speed camera"... so it would be nice if you somehow could disable different
type of cameras (mobile/gatos/red light).
I know this isn't much of a problem since you can remove them from the CSV file before you import
them, but you know how it is... sometimes you want it, sometimes you don't

Another thing... (it never stops)
Have you noticed any differance in detection speed based on how large the camera database is ?

Hi CDR,

Coolest version yet... however, a few considerations...

- Reversing "reversestreetname" variable only works for 2 letter reversing... One or 3 letters dont get reversed...
- GPS still isnt coming back from hibernation... I need to go into settings, gps setup, and then save, then it goes back to normal...
- Can you add an option of adding speedcams with custom speed? like a numpad comes up to enter the speed? And can you make the speed of the cams in another color, it is a bit hard to read on the road...

Question, are the cams showing up on the map? Can they show so we have an idea of near cams? its cool for the highway to see how many are ahead and stuff...

Overall this is looking REALLY nice! nicer by the minute!
