Thanks CDR! You da man! I've just come back from a club (4 am here in braizl), but I'm going to go over to my moms house now... So I insist on getting this in the car PRIOR to my "trip" (10 minutos) to my mom's...
Thanks for everything, I hope you dont hate me for all the bug reports and feature requests I put in... (I know there are many, but I want a perfect system! - dont we all? )

no probs.. and thanks for the donation.. I didnt expect that much :-). I'm at work at the using gprs via my laptop :-) I will look at being able to set your own speed for the cameras. Will be a setting in the ini file for cam1 to cam6 prob.. I am also going to be including the camera rating in the voice alert.. next release in a few days.. need to spend a day or two doing my car install :-)

Cancel that bug I mentioned earlier - appears to be a problem with the maps, not FreeDrive.

Looks like rain here! Which is really annoying! Was hoping to get some cutting done for in the boot.

Okies, I've been playing for a while with freedrive and my only REAL problem is the speedcam detection.
Let's say I'm travelling down a motorway... I'll get a Speedcam warning but it will turn out that the gatso is on a road that is near the motorway, not actually on it.
Also, if I'm driving within the speed limit (yes I do sometimes ) I don't need to have the warning flashing and bleeping at me.
The speedcam detection in mapmonkey works great for me so perhaps you can ask NM for some pointers
P.S. Also worked out the Speedo/GPS speed discrepancy: Speed was out when I was going up or down a hill

I could add another check, this would defo rectify the problem, but may cause some errors.. I guess the only way to tell would be to try it.. What I will do is grab the street name the camera is located on, if your on the same road then it will sound, otherwise it will be ignored.. I will program it in within the next few days and send u a copy.. then u can let me know if it works or doesnt :-)
will get back to u.. just having a couple of days of, need to finish my install off..

CdR, got a question. I have the sdk.ini set up to send messages to my program. It sends them just fine, the only problem is most of the time they come out with a bunch of extra bytes after them like the following:
SETLABEL;!FDSPEED;0±é“Ôw¨“ÔwÌõ
SETLABEL;!FDHEAD;0m¼é“Ôw¨“ÔwÌõ
Sometimes they come as they are supposed to, at others I get those extra bytes which are obviously not encoded right. Any ideas?

Thanks, a quick solution would to add a ';' to the end of the string you send.

o btw.. this has also got a speedcam fix, that makes sure your on the same road as the camera before it alerts.. just removes the chance of false alerts :-)
