Command to Switch Skins

First off I would ike to start by saying "FreeDrive is the best GPS front end, good work CdRsKuLL"

Down to the question. Like some of you I am using RoadRunner and have happily embeded free drive so it runs in the gps window. I am also trying to create another window that displays just the map and the directions, allong with some music info from winamp. I have modified the default skin so it only show a map. What I need to know is, is there a command or start paramater I can use to start FreeDrive in a different skin, or is there a way to only embed the map (probably more of a roadrunner question that)

All comments and suggestions are welcome

You can edit the skin.ini file in the Freedrive skin folder of the skin you are using in Freedrive.

Change the map to full size as below.

#MAP left,top,width,height
map=0,0,800,600

RR will resize it down to the area you have specified in the RR skin and the surrounding Freedrive skin will disappear leaving just the map.

Thanks enforcer but I have already done this. I have one skin that shows just the map and another skin that shows all the other information as well. Problem is I want roadrunner to use one freedrive skin in one window and a different freedrive skin in a different window.

Cheers

You could try the day/night skin swicthing to have your two differnet skins (trouble is then you lose the different day/night facility).

Have a looky here

Hmm, an interesting idea. Problem is, its the contents of the ini file that i need to change map=0,0,800,600. Doesn't the day/night options only change jpg files?

try grabbing the latest version .. http://www.x-digital.addr.com/Free.exe now rename this to FreeDrive.exe and also create a folder in the FreeDrive folder called 'logs' then you can use a new sdk command 'mapsize' or 'mapfull' / 'mapnormal' this changes the size of map it shows to full to normal.. hope this is what your on about

There I am, driving around and freedrive drive goes off "40MPH speed camera in 200 metres", then it stats beeping at me. I work out after adjusting my speed that these beeps are to warn me that I cam going faster than the limit for the speed camera. After safe navigating slowly past the speed camera I sit back and think wow this CdRsKull guy truely is a Legend. Then I log onto my laptop and see the above reply and think to myself, he even answers my prayers is there anything this guy can't do. Its like you are solving my problems even before I know I have them.

These command work a treat. Thanks for your help and thanks for a fantastic app!!!
